A New Year A Bright Start Welcome to Spring

Hello to all,

I have now successfully launched a new business entitled RMB Hospitality. RMBH is a Global Management Group located in Atlanta Ga. I truly appreciate all of the support as well as the assistance in getting it operational. Thanks to every one involved. In saying that please note that I will be adding a bit more structure to my twitter which you can follow @RebeccaBrinson as well as my blog. The new focus will be on the progression of the new business venture as well as the adventure of starting a new business. Please note I will still keep it fun and incorporate family fun sections for your enjoyment. Continue to send pet pictures as well as comments. I am still conducting pet of the month as well as destination of the month. This means I will be depending on you more than ever to keep up to date and let me know what facts are important to you. Message me by the 15th of each month, so I can be sure to cover them. Thanks again for the support and lets prepare for a wonderful spring.

How to start the planning process

I can help you plan your next meeting or event. Check out these helpful pre planning tips.

Preplanning
-Determine the meeting or event purpose (board meeting, wedding, etc.).
-Consider the size of the group, gender mix, ages of attendees, and any special needs.
-Determine meeting dates. Avoid dates that coincide with other company or industry events or holidays.
-Are the dates and/or days of the week firm or flexible?
-Plan the meeting or event in advance to secure the most desirable space.
-Create an outline for each session or activity, including expected attendance, seating arrangements, required setup times, starting and ending times, and audiovisual and production needs.
-List food and beverage requirements for each occasion, including meals, receptions and breaks.
-Consider air and ground transportation needs. Group rates sometimes are offered in advance.
-Plan entertainment and recreation needs, group activities and/or team-building exercises.
-Prepare a timeline for producing invitations, event promotion, registration and production of meeting materials.
-Designate an administrative person to create name badges and coordinate written materials. Alot of times you can find assistance from your local CVB's for this complimentary.
-Budget for all sponsor expenses and calculate expenses for meeting participants. Remember sometimes free is better.
-Schedule speaker(s) or honorees, if required.
