WELCOME to the best time of the year. The season of beautiful leaves, shedding trees, pumpkins, candy, and festivals. It's also the time a lot of companies start their seasonal hiring. This will be a great time to apply to stores in your local shopping malls and plazas. Other great fields to try to tap into would be security both un-armed and armed, banquets & events, Hospitality, and call centers. Good Luck on your endeavors!

RMB Hospitality would like you to be safe while enjoying your festivities, so below are a few helpful hints to assist you with this goal. Please be sure to review these items with your family:

1. Be sure older children TAKE FRIENDS

and younger children are accompanied by a TRUSTED ADULT when "Trick or Treating." 2. Accompany younger children to the door of every home they approach and make sure parents and guardians are familiar with every home and all people from which the children receive treats.

3. Teach children to

NEVER enter a home without prior permission from their parents or guardians. 4. Teach children to

NEVER approach a vehicle, occupied or not, unless they know the owner and are accompanied by a parent or guardian. 5. Make sure all children wear reflective clothing and carry a glow stick when out at dusk and at night.

6. Make sure children are able to see and breathe properly and easily when using facial masks. All costumes and masks should be clearly marked as flame resistant.

7. Teach children to NEVER approach a home that is not well lit both inside and outside. 8. Teach children to stay alert and remember any suspicious incidents and report them to their parents, guardians, and/or the proper authority.

9. Teach children if anyone tries to grab them to make a scene; loudly yell this person is not my father/mother/guardian; and make every effort to get away by kicking, scream-ing, and resisting.

10. Families may want to organize or attend parties at home, in schools, or in community centers as a good alternative to "Trick or Treating."

We know that many of these tips are common sense, but it is always good to review. Re-member, you are always safer when you stay in areas that you know or at adult supervised community events. You should always use good hygiene practices and wash your hands when you return home and before you eat your treats.

*Be safe during this great season. Remember volunteers and donations are always needed at neighboring shelters, group homes, salvation armies, and YMCA's.  Make a difference today and pledge a few hours of your next off day to be a community partner in your area. Be Blessed and I hope you enjoyed this posting.

Walk for Lupus Now - Making a difference starts with one step.

Walk for Lupus Now is the signature event of the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. In more than 65 cities and towns across America thousands of people walk to make a difference in the lives of those affected by lupus. Thanks to your efforts Walk for Lupus Now continues to experience tremendous growth across the country, and raise essential funds for programs, support services, and research for those affected by lupus.

Join us in giving hope to those affected by lupus!

It is estimated that 1.5 million Americans, and 55,000 residents in Georgia have a form of lupus. Lupus is a chronic and potentially life-threatening autoimmune disease that can be devastating for people with lupus and their families. In March 2011, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first treatment for lupus in more than 52 years! This milestone signals that there is hope on the horizon. Even so, we must still continue to address the major gaps that exist in our understanding of the causes and consequences of lupus. It is essential that we have the support of individuals, corporations, foundations and federal, state and local governments so that the 1.5 million Americans with lupus may have hope for the future.

Getting Started

  • Register for Walk for Lupus Now.
  • Set a fundraising goal for yourself, or your team. We suggest a $100 minimum for each individual.

Fall is finally here!

I can say my favorite time of the year is finally here. Fall the weather is just the way I like it. Not to hot and not to cold. Beautiful colors in the foliage and good eating. Here are some things to do this fall. Don't forget to dress for the weather change. Remember it's cooler in the evenings.
Go on a fall foliage hike. Take pictures of all the beautiful leaves and make a scrap book. Change the air filter in your house. The season is changing which also means it’s time to clean out the air filter. Get rid of all that summer dust and start fresh. Tour colleges with your high school senior. It’s a good idea to check out some potential colleges to get a feel for which ones you are serious about applying to.

Visit Go See Campus, a site with all sorts of statistical and admissions information for colleges in the U.S. It also provides you with ways to set up a campus tour. Be a tourist in your own town. Have you seen everything in your town? What about that one shop you pass on the way to the library and always wondered about? Or that small local museum? It's so much to see and do because things change daily. Check it all out. Pick a large pumpkin. Get your children involved. They probably won’t pick the one you like or the one that looks good, but they will love being involved in the choosing. A great time to spend quality time with the family as well see how creative you can be. Cook a pumpkin. Use the pumpkin to make pumpkin bread or pie. And don’t forget to roast the pumpkin seeds. My favorite have a yard sale. Declutter and get rid of the stuff you haven’t used in a while. Clear the way for winter as you will be indoors more. Start thinking about Christmas gifts. If you start now, you will come up with better ideas and find great deals. Then when Christmas rolls around, you can actually enjoy watching all the last minute people run around frantically.

You have the Reason to Enjoy your Season.
